Timeline

Below is a sample timeline for shrink wrapping by Pacific Shrink Wrap.

  1. Contact Pacific Shrink Wrap to arrange an appointment, price estimation or answers to general questions. Typical email response will be within 3-5 days.
  2. Prior to wrapping, customers are recommended to:
    • Wash and wax exterior of craft prior to storage
    • Make sure interior of craft is clean and dry (reduces mold and mildew)
    • Install desiccant packs or other dry air components in interior compartments to minimize condensation build-up
  3. Wrapping process:
    • The process can take place at your location. See pricing for distance limitations and details*.
    • Typical wrapping job can take between 2-3 hours depending on size of craft and special needs.
    • The method of wrapping varies depending on towing or stowing needs. Secure perimeter banding, tenting structure and proper venting is typical of a good shrink wrap installation. Providing sound and durable protection for a typical Northwest winter. See more about services available.
  4. During storage period, periodically visit your craft. Visually inspect the interior of craft and the exterior of shrink wrap for any damage or loose seams. Repair as necessary.
